Generations For Peace Selected as one of “Top 100 NGOs”
Amman – Jordan: 24 January 2013: The Global Journal, a Swiss publication covering news from the development world, has selected Generations For Peace as one of the “Top 100 NGOs” in the world. The selection was based on an assessment of each NGOs three principal drivers of change: impact, innovation and sustainability.
HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein, Founder and Chairman of Generations For Peace expressed his pride at this accomplishment and recognition received. “I am very proud of the impact that Generations For Peace has had both in Jordan and in communities around the world. As we face growing demand for our programmes, this recognition is a tribute to the efforts of each and every volunteer in their respective communities, and all the partners who are supporting our growth.”
Hana Juma’h, a Generations For Peace Pioneer from Jordan was amazed at this news saying “I am so happy that Generations For Peace was selected. It is a testament to all the efforts exerted by our volunteers around the world to pass on the values and mission of Generations For Peace through the universal language of peace.”
With its growing volunteer base and growing impact, Generations For Peace has been implementing grassroots programmes on the ground in 46 countries and territories in Africa, Asia and Europe. In 2012, Generations For Peace implemented 94 programmes and events with 2013 promising to be an even busier year for the volunteers in target communities.
