Generations For Peace is a not-for-profit non-governmental organisation registered in Jordan as a commission with registration number 6/commission/2010 under the Regulation for the Licensing and Registering Clubs and Youth Commissions No. 33 for the Year 2005. In addition, as a non-governmental organisation connected with sport and operating on international level, Generations For Peace has been granted a status of Recognised Organisation by the International Olympic Committee in December 2009. The governance of Generations For Peace is determined by its By-Laws, which establish a General Assembly and a Board, and define the Objects and Powers of Generations For Peace. The General Assembly has overall powers and responsibility for upholding, protecting, and amending the By-Laws; appointment of the auditor for annual audit of financial statements; and review of the annual report. The Board exercises and delegates all other powers of the organisation, and in particular approves strategic and annual plans and budgets. The Board is responsible for ensuring good governance, transparency, accountability and efficiency and that resources are dedicated towards the prescribed Objects of the organisation. HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein of Jordan is Chairman of the Board. The Board is also supported by an Advisory Council.
